Since the release of his first monograph, Vincent Van Duysen has consolidated his excellent reputation for buildings of unparalleled spatial mastery and highly refined detailing, winning a growing international following. This beautiful volume includes thirty of the Belgian architect’s works from the past decade, many of which have been exquisitely immortalized by renowned photographers Hélène Binet and François Halard. The buildings featured from this latest period include an array of elegant residences in Europe, New York, Paris and The Hamptons, as well as larger-scale commercial and public projects. Product and furniture designs immerse us into the microcosms of the architect’s rigorous attention to detail, including yacht interiors and decorative elements.
With the foreword written by close friend and Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore, the broader context of Van Duysen’s contribution to contemporary architecture is also provided by architect Nicola di Battista and architecture critic Marc Dubois. It is accompanied by an illustrated chronology providing a complete picture of the architect’s recent projects.
Van Duysen has become one of the most exquisite architects with great artistic talent. This new publication will help to further establish his steadfast commitment to creating unique and timeless places.
